HOW OUR SOLAR PROGRAM HELPS COMMUNITIES
In 2020, nineteen communities raised $62,000+ for local projects, including almost $20,000 for local covid-19 relief efforts.
WE WANT TO EMPOWER COMMUNITIES TO BECOME ENERGY INDEPENDENT THROUGH 100% RENEWABLE ENERGY AND LOCAL ENERGY CHOICE
Joule has established a community solar program that gives back to the community and enables subscribers who support clean energy generation to spend less on electricity.
Subscribers receive guaranteed electricity bill savings by supporting renewable energy.
We support your community by funding local sustainability efforts.
OUR GIVING BACK PROGRAM PROVIDES FOR
A DIRECT INVESTMENT INTO COMMUNITIES
Joule has established a community solar program that gives back to communities that support clean energy generation. Not only do subscribers in participating municipalities receive guaranteed savings on electricity, Joule makes a direct investment in their communities by helping fund local sustainability projects.
Solar farm developers typically have high customer acquisition costs. By enrolling customers as part of a municipally-endorsed community choice aggregation program, however, we can significantly reduce the sales and marketing budgets required to attract enough customers to make a solar farm project viable. By reducing these costs, we are able to channel savings back into the community.
Funding has been used for various local projects, including the creation of an Arboretum, local tree planting, sustainability efforts at local schools, a refrigerant management program, a "Walk & Bike Project," and more!
Our Giving Back Program has helped communities raise more than $150,000!
